Brady JAG students welcomed guests from Flatwater Bank this week for a conversation about customer service, gratitude, and the importance of building strong relationships within a community.

Luke Rickertsen, CEO of Flatwater Bank, and Mrs. Brass, Executive Vice President, spoke with students about the different ways the bank shows appreciation to its customers. They discussed how their customer appreciation efforts have grown over the years and how Flatwater Bank works to set itself apart through customer service. Students learned that showing gratitude goes beyond simply saying “thank you” and can also be demonstrated through actions.

The visit also introduced students to an opportunity to put those lessons into practice. JAG students have been invited to volunteer at Flatwater Bank’s upcoming Legacy Event at the Impact Center in Gothenburg. The event provides an evening of food and entertainment for the bank’s customers ages 65 and older. JAG students who participate will serve guests and gain hands-on experience in customer service and community involvement.

Students who volunteer will also gain experience they can add to their resumes, receive a written recommendation from Mrs. Axthelm for scholarship applications based on their participation, and be invited to participate in a future field trip.

Flatwater Bank also showed its support for Brady JAG with a generous $1,000 gift to the program.
