Brady opened the tournament with a victory over Sandhills Valley, winning 25-14 and 25-10. The Eagles followed with a win over Twin Loup, taking both sets 25-21, before defeating Hi-Line in the championship match to secure first place. The tournament sweep improved Brady’s record to 8-10.

Earlier in the month, the Eagles had another strong night at home Sept. 15, sweeping Bertrand and South Loup. Brady defeated Bertrand 25-20 and 25-15, then topped South Loup 25-18 and 25-22 to finish the triangular undefeated.

On Sept. 22, Brady hosted Overton and North Platte St. Patrick’s. The Eagles battled Overton in two close sets, falling 27-25 and 25-23, before bouncing back with a three-set victory over St. Patrick’s. After a road loss at Mullen Sept. 24, Brady returned home to finish the week with its tournament championship.
