Brady Public Schools is excited to announce that we have been awarded $97,097.85 through the Nebraska Department of Education’s Rural Health Transformation Program! 🎉

This summer, Mrs. Foster spent time writing a grant application to help modernize our school kitchen, which has not been updated in decades. We are thrilled to share that this funding will allow us to make significant improvements to better serve our students!

🍎 What does this mean for Brady?

With these grant funds, we will be able to complete a full kitchen modernization, including:

❄️ A new walk-in freezer

🥗 A new salad bar preparation area

🧼 A new three-compartment sink for washing dishes

🍽️ A brand-new serving line

These improvements will help us bring our kitchen up to code, improve food preparation and service, and provide more fresh, made-from-scratch meals for our students.

Mrs. Foster, Superintendent of Brady Public Schools, shared her excitement: “I am so excited that we will be able to bring our kitchen up to code and provide more made-from-scratch meals for our students without using taxpayer dollars! This is a wonderful investment in our students and their health, and I am proud of the work that went into securing this funding for Brady Public Schools.”

This award is part of the School Kitchen Modernization Grants Initiative 1.1, under the Rural Health Transformation Program (Award No. RHTCMS332086-01-04), with the Nebraska Department of Education issuing a Notice of Intent to Award.

We are grateful for this opportunity to improve our facilities, enhance our school meal program, and continue putting our students first!
