Our enrichment students recently wrapped up a hands-on food truck project that brought real-world learning into the classroom. Each group created a menu and prepared one item, including macaroni and cheese, cheeseburgers, breakfast burritos, and loaded fries.
Over two days, students worked together to plan, prep, and cook their dishes before sitting down to enjoy a meal and sample each group’s work. Along the way, they practiced teamwork, problem-solving, time management, and important kitchen skills like following recipes and maintaining a clean workspace.
It was a great example of meaningful, hands-on learning—and a fun way to see their hard work come together!

We had some very special visitors at BPS! 🐄🐖🐑🐴
Students had the opportunity to learn up close about a variety of farm animals, including a milk cow, different types of sheep (wool and hair), a pony, pigs, and even calves. We also heard all about Marvin and what it’s like living inside the house!
A huge thank you to Dakota Myers, Larea Thompson, and Ty & Malloree Barnes for taking the time to bring these animals in and share their knowledge with our students. Experiences like this bring learning to life!
